Jacques Saarbach

Principal Scientist at Siduma Therapeutics

Jacques Saarbach has extensive experience in scientific research and development. Jacques is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Siduma Therapeutics since May 2023. Prior to that, they held positions at Yale University, where they worked as an Associate Research Scientist starting in February 2023. Jacques also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow from January 2020 to February 2023. Previous to Yale University, Jacques worked as a PhD Student in Chemical Biology at Université de Genève from September 2014 to October 2019. Jacques also gained experience as an MScRes Intern at Cell Cycle Biosensors and Inhibitors Group IBMM from March 2014 to August 2014, and as an Intern in the Chemical Biology Group at GlaxoSmithKline from July 2012 to July 2013.

Jacques Saarbach began their education at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier in 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry in 2012. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution and completed a Diplome d'ingénieur chimiste de l'ENSCM, equivalent to a Master of Science (M.Sc.), specializing in Chemistry, Biology, and Medicinal Chemistry from 2013 to 2014. Jacques then continued their academic journey at the University of Geneva, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Biology, graduating in 2019.
