Daniel Castro has a diverse work experience in various industries. Daniel currently works as a Backend Engineer at Siemens Logistics, where they are responsible for developing the digital product Aviation Data Hub and refactoring a monolith app into a microservices architecture. Before that, they served as a Data Engineer at NOS SGPS, where they gathered network equipment data, performed ETL tasks on Big Data, and analyzed signal transmission for network infrastructure disruptions. Daniel also worked as a Grading Assistant at NOVA IMS Information Management School and as a Service-leader intern at Schindler, S.A. (Portugal), where they managed elevator repair operations, warehouse and materials flow, and worked in a fast-paced environment. Prior to that, Daniel had experience as a Heating and Air Conditioning Engineer at PROM&E Building Solutions and as a Tourist Guide at Tuk Tuk Tejo.
Daniel Castro completed their education with a postgraduate degree in Data Science & Business Analytics from ISEG - Executive Education, which took place from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology, which they completed between 2015 and 2020.
