Thomas Heyligers

Thomas Heyligers has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas began their career in 2007 as a Mandatory Service Grundwehrdienstleistender in the Bundeswehr. In 2008, they joined Siemens AG, Mobility Division as an Auszubildender zum Industriekaufmann (IHK), where they gained knowledge in financial analysis, lean reporting, and inventory management as a Controller. Thomas remained at Siemens for 7 years, taking on various roles within the company.

In 2015, Thomas Heyligers transitioned to Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics LLC, where they served as a Commercial Project Manager. Thomas was responsible for the design, build, and financial execution of Baggage Handling Systems for Airports in North America. Thomas also oversaw Operations & Maintenance projects, financial controlling of Spare Parts Business, and additional services for Baggage Handling Systems.

In 2018, Thomas Heyligers joined Siemens Logistics as the Senior Performance Controller (Business Unit), where they coordinated the global financial forecast and reporting process. Thomas provided adhoc analysis to consult the board of directors on multi-perspective effects. Later on, they assumed the role of Head of Transformation Office - Finance, overseeing finance-related transformation projects. In 2022, they became the Head of Finance - Global Project Execution, responsible for leading the finance function in global projects.

Thomas Heyligers completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Steinbeis Hochschule in the period from 2012 to 2015. Thomas also attended Harvard Business School in 2020, where they took a course on Sustainable Business Strategy. In 2008 to 2011, Thomas studied at Staatliche Berufsschule Erlangen and obtained a degree in Industriekaufmann (IHK), focusing on Accounting and Business/Management. Furthermore, they completed their Allgemeine Hochschulreife at Fichte Gymnasium Krefeld between 1998 and 2007.
