Gerlinde Sturm is a German business executive who currently serves as the CFO of Advanta, a subsidiary of Siemens. Gerlinde has held various financial leadership positions within Siemens over the past 19 years.

Gerlinde began their career with Siemens in 2003 as the SVP of Finance and BA Account for Deutsche Telekom, Siemens AG Communications. Gerlinde then moved to Head Corporate Finance Controlling Corporate Units Planning & Reporting in 2007.

In 2009, they became the CFO of Transmission & Distribution Services and held this position until 2011 when they were promoted to CFO Smart Grid Services for the Sector Infrastructure & Cities, Smart Grid Division.

In 2012, they became the CFO of Siemens Windpower EMEA and CFO of Siemens Windpower A/S Denmark for the Energy Sector Windpower Divison. Gerlinde held these positions until 2014 when they were promoted to CFO Onshore Global and CFO of Siemens Windpower A/S Denmark for the Energy Sector, Windpower Division.

In 2017, they became the CFO Business Unit Process Automation Siemens AG, Process Industries and Drives Division and held this position until 2019 when they were promoted to their current role as CFO Business Unit Process Automation, Siemens AG, Digital Industry.

Gerlinde has a diploma in business administration from the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg. Gerlinde is also certified in management from LinkedIn, with a focus on agile, scrum, design thinking, and blinkist kernaussagen.
