Mikaela King

Mikaela King currently serves as the Interim Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Membership Growth at Sierra Club since December 2023. King's extensive experience includes over a decade at DMAW, where leadership roles encompassed Board Member, Immediate Past President, and President of the Board of Directors. From June 2016 to December 2023, King held Vice Presidential positions in Advancement Operations and Integrated Marketing at the National Geographic Society. Additional experience includes a stint as Vice President of Integrated Strategy at PM Digital and Vice President of Integrated Marketing at Defenders of Wildlife, where impactful fundraising initiatives were developed. Earlier roles also include Director of New Media at CDR Fundraising Group, where the New Media division was successfully launched, and various positions at Defenders of Wildlife. King earned a B.S. in Economics and Business Management from Goucher College.
