Josh Metheney

Josh Metheney has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Josh is currently the Director of Engineering at Sigma Defense Systems LLC since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal DevOps Engineer at SOLUTE from 2015 to 2023, where they led a team of DevSecOps engineers and was responsible for architecture design, technical development, mentoring, and policy development. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a DevOps Consultant at SimpleSense. Before that, they worked at Lockheed Martin from 2009 to 2015, first as a Network Engineer Sr. where they designed data center build-out and implemented a fully redundant VPN service, and later as a Systems Engineer where they developed a cyber security web framework and maintained code baselines. Josh began their career as a Help Desk Specialist at Grove City College from 2007 to 2009. Josh also had a college internship at Lockheed Martin in 2008, where they performed IT maintenance and assisted in researching and implementing new technologies.

Josh Metheney holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Grove City College, completed from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate certification from Kryterion in April 2017 and the CCNA certification from Cisco in November 2013.
