Bryan Allen

Bryan Allen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Bryan is currently working at SigmaSense, where they hold the position of Director of Software since September 2022. Prior to this role, Bryan was employed as a Senior Software Engineer at SigmaSense from July 2018 to May 2023.

Before joining SigmaSense, Bryan worked at Marvell Semiconductor starting from May 2010. During their tenure there, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer and was responsible for various tasks. As a Linux Kernel Lead, they successfully completed the initial bring-up of the Linux kernel on multiple ARM-based chips and platforms. Bryan also contributed to reducing build times substantially by implementing changes to the build system. Bryan played a significant role in technical communication with a partner and customer for ARM A53-based SoCs. Bryan developed and ported numerous Linux kernel drivers and administered development tools to facilitate software development for a distributed team. Bryan also contributed to the porting of Android to a Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA platform and developed an Android app as a sole developer.

Additionally, Bryan founded PicDoctors LLC in April 2012. This side business focused on facilitating paid photo editing between artists and clients requiring Photoshop services. Bryan architected the web solution using Python (Django framework), CSS, and Javascript (Ember.js framework). Bryan also handled server operations, including maintenance, deployments, and database management.
