Mary Liz Finn is the current Chief People Officer at Signet Jewelers. Prior to this, they were the founder and chair of Finn Advisory Services, LLC from January 2017 to May 2018. Finn Advisory Services, LLC provided consulting engagements with firms and individuals needing help with HR strategy, leadership development and coaching, succession planning, employee engagement, workplace culture, diversity and inclusion, and compensation design. From October 2007 to December 2016, Mary Liz was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Nielsen. As Nielsen’s CHRO, Mary Liz reported to the CEO (Dave Calhoun and then Mitch Barns) and was a member of the company’s Executive Council. Mary Liz developed and articulated the human capital strategy to employees, leaders, executive management team, Board of Directors, and Shareholders. Led the HR function ($86 million annual budget and 500+ employees around the world) by leading and reinforcing Nielsen's business and strategic direction, with a focus on succession planning, talent acquisition/leadership development, transformational change, organizational/performance management, training/development, compensation/benefits, and provided an employee experience that is differentiated and meaningful. The Nielsen Employee Experience is a critical piece of the culture and strives to foster an environment "where associates can be themselves, make a difference, and grow with us".

● Steering Committee leader for global organizational restructure in 2016; $40 million productivity savings; realigned structure from geography to market dynamic focus to enable growth.

● Introduced an "employee app" for key information; added quarterly "Check‐Ins" to improved coaching, and rolled out new "Manager Excellence Program" to 5000 leaders around the globe.

● Executive Sponsor of Women in Nielsen (WIN) and drove increase of women in senior leadership roles (28% - 35%).

● Significantly improved the culture/environment by encouraging adoption of great ideas from everywhere ... inside and outside the company. From establishing volunteer programs (Nielsen Global Impact Day; 24 hours of dedicated volunteer time; Nielsen Global Support Fund) to a benefits strategy that is focused on a culture of health and fitness ("Healthy Measures" Fitness Challenges, improved maternity/adoption/paternity leave; elevated consumer approach to medical care), to the recent introduction (receiving shareholder approval) of an "Employee Stock Purchase Plan" creating an ownership mentality within the company.

Mary Liz Finn attended Pittsfield High School where they took college prep courses. Mary then went on to Siena College and obtained their Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
