María Mercedes Alzate González

María Mercedes Alzate González has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. María Mercedes started their career at Compaq Computer Colombia in 1994 as an Accounting Manager and went on to become a Controller and Finance Director for various business units. In 2012, they joined HP as the Finance Manager for the Personal Systems Group in the LATAM Multi Country Area. María Mercedes later became the Finance Director for the LATAM Multi Country - Personal & Printing Systems, responsible for financial planning and analysis, profit and loss management, and business support. From 2015 to 2017, María worked as the Regional Financial Controller for Latin America North at HP, leading a team that supported the company's business in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, and Costa Rica. Currently, they serve as the Head of Records to Report and Finance Service Center Lead for the Americas at Signify since their appointment in 2018.

María Mercedes Alzate González obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Universidad Santo Tomás from 1981 to 1985. In addition, they have completed certifications in "Developing Executive Presence" and "Fred Kofman on Managing Conflict" from LinkedIn, as well as an executive program called PDD from INALDE Business School.
