Mariana Ortiz-Reyes

Mariana Ortiz-Reyes has a strong background in product design and user experience research. Mariana is currently the Director of Product, Design & Research at Signifyd, where they oversee the productization of reporting, merchant workflows, and risk intelligence workflows. Mariana also leads the product design and user experience research efforts. Mariana is also a co-founder and leader of the Black & Latinx ERG at Signifyd, where they promote the representation of Black & Latinx people and facilitates connection, mentorship, and networking.

Prior to Signifyd, Mariana held various roles at Adobe and Citrix. At Adobe, they worked as an Experience Designer. At Citrix, they served as a Senior Product Designer, leading design for enterprise mobility management solutions. Mariana also worked as a Senior Designer and User Researcher at Citrix.

Mariana has a strong passion for entrepreneurship and creative industries. Mariana founded and edited the i am satos™ Journal, a platform for young Puerto Rican practitioners of creative industries to share their work and experiences. Mariana also worked as a Content Developer for the Puerto Rico Creative Economy Initiative, where they focused on brand development, visualization, articles, research, and design strategy.

Before transitioning into the design field, Mariana worked as an Architectural Designer. Mariana has a diverse range of experiences and expertise in design, research, and entrepreneurship.

Mariana Ortiz-Reyes began their education journey in 2009 at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, where they pursued a Master of Architecture degree. Mariana successfully completed their studies in 2011. Three years later, in 2012, Mariana enrolled at the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Design Management. Mariana completed this program in 2013.
