Simone Madeo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2012, they worked as a Research Engineer at CNIT, where they developed protocols for localization and implemented computer vision algorithms for object detection in industrial environments. From 2013 to 2015, Simone worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Surrey, focusing on efficient video analysis and search for embedded applications. They reviewed state-of-the-art solutions and designed an evaluation framework for compaction methods. In 2016, Simone became a Research Assistant at the University of Surrey, contributing to the BRIGDET project and conducting research on image descriptors and matching performance evaluation for media analysis algorithms. Later on, in 2017, Simone joined nChain as a Research and Development Specialist, working on methods and protocols for implementing devices and processes on the Bitcoin blockchain. Finally, in 2018, Simone became a Researcher at Elwood Asset Management LLP. They held this position until 2020 when they transitioned to their current role as a Quantitative Developer at SigTech.

Simone Madeo's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pisa, which was obtained from 2004 to 2008. They then pursued a Master's degree in the same field from the same university, which was completed between 2008 and 2011. Following this, Simone went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Emerging Digital Technologies with a specialization in curriculum Embedded Systems from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna from 2013 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Simone also obtained two certifications. The first certification is in Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I, obtained in March 2018 through Coursera. The second certification is the Cisco Networking Academy Program Certification, acquired from the University of Pisa in February 2009.
