Aarne Wallén

Aarne Wallén has extensive experience in web development and Drupal. Aarne is currently working as a Lead Drupal Developer at Siili Solutions since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Developer at Wunderman Thompson from January 2021 to July 2021.

Aarne also worked at Mirum Agency as a Senior Developer from October 2018 to January 2021 and as a Web Developer from February 2016 to September 2018. At Mirum Agency, they primarily focused on planning, building, and maintaining global enterprise web solutions based on Drupal. Aarne also had experience in VR development in Unity, SPA/PWA campaign sites, technical audits, and technical consulting.

Before that, Aarne worked at KWD Digital as a Drupal Developer from July 2014 to December 2015. Aarne played a key role in building and maintaining Drupal websites and handling various projects, including development and refactoring of sites and services based on Symfony and Zend.

Aarne also worked at Archtours Ltd as a Web and Database Developer from August 2013 to June 2014. In this role, they maintained and developed an in-house ERP system, built an intranet/web portal using WordPress, and prototyped a project management and hour tracking system. Aarne was also responsible for maintaining and developing company websites and writing technical documentation.

Early in their career, Aarne worked at Mediakeskus Valo as a Web Developer from October 2010 to July 2011. Here, they built websites using CMS Made Simple and WordPress and also had experience in graphics design, illustration, and prepress.

Aarne Wallén completed their education at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to 2014, studying Media Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Tampereen ammattiopisto from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in Painotuotantoassistentti, ulkoasuntoteuttajan koulutusohjelma. In addition to their education, they have obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in 2018, and Acquia Certified Developer in Drupal 8 from Acquia in 2017, and Drupal 7 in 2016.
