Jasmine Shah

Senior Photonics Engineer at Silc Technologies

Jasmine Shah has worked in various engineering roles since 2010. In 2010, they were a Maintenance Engineer at Torrent Power. From 2011 to 2012, they were an Application Engineer at Precise Automation & Control Pvt Ltd and Axcend Automation and Software Solutions, respectively. During this time, they programmed control logic for a water treatment plant and sulfur separation using ABB PLC, DCS 800 XA and HMI. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at Neuroscience and Optical Imaging Research Laboratory (NOIR). During this time, they worked on building swept source Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)/ phase-resolved OCT and optically characterized this system to detect and record the nanometer scale changes in the cell membrane that occurs during the membrane depolarization and ion influx. Jasmine also developed a Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) assisted parallel processing algorithm in MATLAB for the real-time data acquisition, image processing, display and system synchronization using Tesla K1020 GPU card. Finally, since 2019, they have been a Photonics Engineer at SiLC Technologies, Inc.

Jasmine Shah holds a Master's Degree in Bioengineering / Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Instrumentation & Control from SVIT,Vasad. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Regulatory Affairs & Compliance for Medical Device from the University of California, Irvine in June 2019, and a Complete Python Bootcamp from Udemy in June 2018.
