Allan Stokes

Allan Stokes has extensive experience in various management roles throughout their career. Allan is currently the Director of Operations North America at Silfab Solar Inc., where they oversee the operation of all current and expansion facilities in North America. Their key focus is on implementing an Operational Excellence program and leveraging existing competencies.

Prior to Silfab Solar Inc., Allan worked as the Director of Operations at IKO Industries from 2016 to 2021. In this role, they were responsible for multiple manufacturing sites across Canada and the US. Allan developed and implemented the IKO Excellence program, which supported operational performance using LEAN Six Sigma methodologies.

Before that, Allan was the President and owner of Panelized Building Solutions Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Their company provided prefabricated housing options in Southern Ontario, and they emphasized manufacturing excellence and innovation.

From 2007 to 2013, Allan worked as the General Manager at Kott Lumber, and from 2003 to 2007, they were the VP of North American Operations at Alliance Surface Finishing. During their time at Alliance Surface Finishing, they spearheaded the design and construction of two new manufacturing facilities and managed activities to achieve ISO 9000 certification.

From 2001 to 2003, Allan served as the General Manager at CCI/Grant Thornton, where they implemented a turnaround strategy for a green energy producer. Allan restructured the entire operation, developed an operational strategic plan, and achieved significant improvements in productivity.

Before that, Allan worked as the Plant Manager at Balzers SCI from 1999 to 2001. Allan played a key role in designing and starting up a PVD coating facility and managed all departments, while also implementing ISO 9001 certification.

Allan's early career includes various roles at USG from 1987 to 1999, where they served as the Production and Engineering Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and Projects Engineer.

Allan Stokes has completed their education in Mechanical Engineering Technologist at George Brown College. Allan obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technologist from the college.
