Principal Engineer at Silicon Labs

DeWitt Seward has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. DeWitt started their career at Trimble Navigation in 1994, where they worked as a Member Technical Staff, focusing on developing GPS receiver hardware and firmware. DeWitt then joined General Dielectric, Inc. in 1998 as the VP of Engineering, where they developed and patented a method for screening sealed bottles for liquid explosives. After that, they joined Ember Corporation in 2003, initially working as a Staff Software Engineer, developing low-level networking software and protocols. DeWitt later became the Sr. Application Architect, working with customers in home automation and smart grid to bring connected home products to market. From 2012, they worked at Silicon Labs, first as a Staff Field Application Engineer, transitioning customers to the wider sales team and developing reference designs and finished products. DeWitt then became a Staff Application Engineer, specializing in IoT solutions, where they developed reference designs for various protocols and worked with customers to adapt them to shipping products. Finally, they became a Principal Engineer at Silicon Labs in 2018.

DeWitt Seward attended Acton Boxboro High School, however, the start and end years are unknown. Following high school, DeWitt pursued higher education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1994, obtaining a BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
