Nikhil Pillai

Nikhil Pillai currently serves as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Silicon Valley Community Foundation since April 2024. Prior to this role, Nikhil was Counsel at Tides from August 2021 to March 2024 and held the position of Director of Legal Affairs at the California Institute of the Arts from June 2019 to July 2021. Nikhil's experience also includes serving as Counsel for Bolder Advocacy at Alliance for Justice from January 2017 to June 2019, Associate Counsel at Working America from September 2014 to December 2016, and a Law Fellow in the Office of General Counsel at AARP from December 2013 to August 2014. Nikhil Pillai earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration and Finance from The Ohio State University.
