Eliecer R. Diaz

Eliecer R. Diaz has had a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2002, they worked as a Researcher at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel. Eliecer R. then served as a Senior Project Manager at Interreg Baltic Sea Region from 2012 to 2014, where they led the EU Interreg Project Baltic EcoMussel and was responsible for various tasks such as conducting research, designing environmental monitoring, and writing scientific papers. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Researcher at the University of Helsinki, where they engaged in various activities such as writing scientific papers, developing cellular automata in R, and conducting biostatistics research. Starting in 2017, Eliecer worked as a Senior Data Scientist at CGI until November 2020. In January to March 2021, they served as the Lead Data Scientist at Simosol Oy. Currently, they hold the positions of Senior AI Engineer and Occupational Safety and Health Representative at Silo AI since April 2021.

Eliecer R. Diaz's education history starts with their attendance at the Deutsche Schule, Liceo Alemán de Santiago, Chile between an unknown start year and 1996. It seems that they did not obtain any specific degree or field of study during this time.

Eliecer R. then attended Universidad Católica del Norte, where they completed a Licenciate in Sciences in 2002, with a major in Behavioral Sciences, specifically focusing on mating systems in marine invertebrates. Following this, they obtained a professional title, Biólogo Marino, from the same university, which ended in 2003.

In 2004, Diaz pursued further studies at Rhodes University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Zoology/Animal Biology, with a specialization in spatial statistical models. This program lasted until 2009.

Eliecer R. then continued their academic journey by becoming a post-doctoral researcher at Stockholm University in 2009, supported by the FORMAS Foundation. Eliecer R. researched habitat fragmentation and biodiversity during this time. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a post-doctoral researcher at Åbo Akademi University, funded by the Nessling Foundation. Eliecer R.'sresearch focus during this period was applied ecology and environmental remediation.

Looking ahead, Diaz has plans to enroll in Aalto University from 2022 to 2025 to pursue a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Complex Systems. Prior to this, they achieved a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Cloud Computing and IoT from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, which they completed between 2017 and 2021.
