Nicolas Luca

Nicolas Luca has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nicolas started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Serasa Experian in 2015. Nicolas then worked as a University Extension Program participant at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) from 2016 to 2017, and again from 2018 to 2019, where they provided academic support in the development of technology for generating energy from waste tires.

In 2021, Nicolas interned at Pieta.tech as an Intern in Approval of Photovoltaic Projects, and later as a Back Office Intern at CAMERGE from August to November.

From 2022 to 2023, they worked as a Data Analyst & Business Intelligence at Pessoalize, using their analytical thinking and knowledge of logic and business models to drive clients' projects and operations.

Currently, Nicolas is employed at Pier Seguradora as an Underwriting & Pricing Data Analyst since July 2023.

Nicolas Luca has a strong educational background in the field of science and technology. Nicolas obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Technology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, focusing on the study of Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade. Nicolas completed this degree from 2015 to 2018. Nicolas then pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management Engineering from 2015 to 2021.

To enhance their knowledge and skills, Nicolas also pursued additional certifications and courses. Nicolas completed a Master's Degree in Materials Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 2019 to 2022, specializing in the field of Materials Science. Nicolas also obtained various certifications in different areas. Notably, they obtained advanced and intermediate certifications in SQL from HackerRank in 2023. Nicolas completed a course on Python for Data Science from Alura in 2022. Furthermore, they acquired certifications in Business Intelligence, HTML5 and CSS3, JavaScript, and Photovoltaic Projects and Dimensioning.

In terms of research and participation, Nicolas contributed as an author in various articles related to energy and mathematics. Nicolas participated as a presenter and author in academic events such as the UFRGS Extension Hall and the Teaching, Extension and Research Exhibition at Campus Osório. Nicolas also participated in seminars and academic weeks focused on energy management engineering.
