Michael Bailey

Michael Bailey, CPA, CFE has over 14 years of experience in accounting and financial services. Michael currently holds the position of VP, Sr. Accounting Manager at Silvergate Bank. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Controller at CUSO Financial Services, LP. Michael also served as an Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant at LPL Financial, where they were responsible for financial statements, budget analysis, and journal entries. Michael has a strong background in insurance, having held positions such as Senior Accountant at Arrowhead General Insurance Agency and Senior Accounting Analyst at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Additionally, they have experience in financial planning and client consultation, having worked as a Financial Services Representative at Barnum Financial Group. Michael's early experience includes roles as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Volunteer at The Access Community Action Agency and a Legislative Audit Intern at the State of Connecticut Auditors of Public Accounts. Michael Bailey, CPA, CFE earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2008. In 2006, they completed their undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Connecticut. Additionally, Michael has acquired several certifications including Certified Public Accountant (obtained in 2015 from the California Board of Accountancy), Certified Fraud Examiner (obtained in 2018 from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners), Series 99 (obtained in 2017 from FINRA), and Series 27 (obtained in 2020 from FINRA).
