Amanda Parker

Amanda Parker has held various roles throughout their work experience. Amanda began their career as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis from September 2013 to June 2018. Afterward, they worked as a Science Writer and Postdoctoral Researcher at Syracuse University from September 2018 to February 2021. Following that, they served as a Senior Scientific Writer at the University of Chicago from February 2021 to August 2021. Amanda's most recent role is a Computational Scientist at SimBioSys, Inc., starting in August 2021. Additionally, they have been a Press Ambassador for the Biophysical Journal at Cell Press since June 2020.

Amanda Parker has an extensive education history. Amanda obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, English, and Mathematics from the University of Iowa in 2013. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Master's Degree in Physics in 2015. Amanda continued their education at the same institution and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics in 2018.
