Dorys L. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dorys started their career in 2007 as a Clinical Research Associate at Kendle International Inc. Additionally, Dorys has been actively involved in Women in Bio - Engage. Educate. Empower. In 2021, they served as the Vice Chair of Programming (Chicago Chapter) and from 2022 to 2023 as the Chair of Programming. In 2023, they joined the Communications Leadership Team of the organization.

Dorys L. completed their education history as follows:

From 2002 to 2007, they attended Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Dorys then pursued their Master's degree in Life Sciences from 2009 to 2011 at Kyoto University.

Following their Master's degree, Dorys L. enrolled at The University of Bonn from 2011 to 2015, where they completed their Doctorate in Biomedicine with a specialization in Molecular Biomedicine.

In 2020, they participated in a certification program called "Periodismo de Ciencia" (Science Journalism) at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, which lasted for the duration of one year.

Dorys L. also completed another certification program titled "Mercadotecnia Farmacéutica" (Pharmaceutical Marketing) at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2022 to 2023.
