Fahmi Zakaria

Fahmi Zakaria's work experience began in 2006 as an Executive in the Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning Unit at Pharmaniaga. Fahmi then worked as an Analyst in Investment at CIMB-Principal Asset Management from 2009 to 2010. Fahmi joined MMC Corporation Berhad as a Senior Executive in the Group Managing Director's Office from 2010 to 2011. Fahmi later worked at Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Manager in Corporate Finance from 2011 to 2013. Fahmi then joined the Port of Tanjung Pelepas as a Manager in the Strategy/CEO's Office from 2013 to 2014. Fahmi then moved to UEM Sunrise Berhad, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Manager in the MD's Office from 2014 to 2017, Head of Ventures, Business Development & Ventures from 2017 to 2019, Deputy General Manager, Head of Business Development from 2020 to 2021, and General Manager, Head of Strategic Land Banking from 2021 to 2022. Fahmi's current role is Vice President 1, Head of Strategic Land Management & BD at Sime Darby Property, where they have been since 2022. Throughout their career, Fahmi has been responsible for various functions including land management, business development, strategic acquisitions and divestments, and investor relations.

Fahmi Zakaria's education history includes several notable accomplishments. Fahmi completed the Canadian Pre-University Programme at Taylor's College in 2002. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Melbourne from 2002 to 2005. Fahmi further enhanced their education by completing various certifications over the years. Fahmi obtained their Chartered Accountant designation from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in November 2020. Fahmi also became a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) in February 2021 and obtained additional certifications in areas such as financial leadership, value preservation and creation, data analytics, risk management, governance and regulation, and professional membership with CPA Australia. Additionally, Fahmi holds a membership in the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant Coordinating Committee (ACPACC), having obtained the ASEAN CPA certification in April 2021. In 2013, Fahmi received the Hogan Development Feedback Giver certification from Hogan Assessment Systems. Furthermore, they have demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional development by completing various other courses and training programs.
