Carlos Roberto Torres González

Carlos Roberto Torres González has a comprehensive work experience that spans over 16 years. Carlos Roberto currently holds the role of Director Project Management Office at Simeio since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr Project Manager at Simeio from 2022 to 2023. Before joining Simeio, Carlos worked at Amazon as a Sr. Program Manager from 2021 to 2022.

From 2015 to 2021, Carlos worked at IBM where they held various roles. Carlos Roberto served as a TTIM (Transition & Transformation Integration Manager) from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they were a Transition and Transformation Project Manager responsible for leading transition IT infrastructure and cloud transformation projects for SaaS and IaaS for distributed systems. Carlos validated the solution defined during engagement/sales phase, gathered requirements, and adjusted the solution to meet customer needs.

Prior to IBM, Carlos gained experience at Hewlett-Packard where they held several positions. Carlos Roberto worked as an AMS PPM Project Manager from 2011 to 2015, collecting and leveraging requirements for IT infrastructure projects, coordinating technical solution designs, and developing project plans based on PMI standards. Carlos also served as a Business Operations Project Manager and a Service Desk Supervisor where they managed operational SLAs, implemented process improvement projects, and recruited and onboarded new staff.

At the start of their career, Carlos worked as a Tactical Incident Manager and 2nd level of support (Service Desk) at Hewlett-Packard. Carlos Roberto provided 2nd level support to service desk agents, analyzed performance areas for improvement, and managed high business impact incidents and requests. Carlos also worked as a Technical Solutions Representative IV (Service Desk) during their initial role at Hewlett-Packard.

Carlos Roberto Torres González has a strong education background in business and finance. Carlos Roberto completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Licentiate degree in Auditing and Public Accounting from ULACIT in 2012 and 2013. Carlos also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, which they earned from the Tecnológico de Costa Rica between 2005 and 2011.
