Chess Harris has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Chess began their career in the US Army, where they held various command and staff positions in Infantry and Armor units for over 25 years. After retiring from the military, they joined the National Defense University as the Dean of the Joint Forces Staff College and later became an Associate Professor at the Joint and Combined Warfighting School. Chess then transitioned to the private sector, working as a Program Manager at Camber Corporation and later as an Assistant VP of Business Development and Senior Program Manager at SAIC.
