Carol Zachs

Senior Director, Global Engagement at Simon Fraser University

Carol Zachs has a diverse work experience in the field of global engagement and international education. Carol started their career at the University of Aarhus as an intern in marketing and communications. Carol then joined Kwantlen University College as an advisor before moving on to the University of British Columbia, where they worked as a coordinator and later as a manager for study and research abroad. In 2013, they joined Simon Fraser University and held various roles, including Director of International Partnerships and Protocol, Director of Global Engagement, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Global Engagement. In addition to their work at universities, they were also involved in the Canadian Bureau for International Education as a co-chair and co-founder of the International Relations Professional Learning Community.

Carol Zachs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of British Columbia. Carol also has a Masters of Education degree from The University of British Columbia, with a focus on Adult Learning and Global Change. In addition, they have a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Communications from Simon Fraser University. Furthermore, Carol Zachs has completed an Executive MBA program at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
