Tina Shoa

Tina Shoa is an Associate Professor at Simon Fraser University since September 2024, having previously served as an Assistant Professor at New York Institute of Technology from January 2019 to September 2024. Tina has extensive experience in research, highlighted by a role as Head of Research at Cadex Electronics from April 2013 to September 2024, focusing on battery modeling and characterization utilizing Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Nonlinear Estimation theories, and AI for BMS applications, particularly in automotive contexts. Prior to that, Tina worked as a Research Scientist at Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation from September 2010 to April 2013 and held a Research Assistant position at The University of British Columbia from January 2006 to July 2010. Educational credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, a Master's in Engineering Management from UBC, a Master of Science in MEMS from the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Science and Technology.
