Rob Brown

Rob Brown, CPA has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. Rob is currently the Director of Accounting at Atlas Oil Company, responsible for strategic planning and oversight of the accounting, finance, and IT organizations. Prior to this, they held the same position at Simon Group Holdings.

Previously, Rob served as the Vice President of Finance at Shell Energy, where they analyzed monthly accounting data and provided financial and operational performance reports. Rob also prepared board reporting packages and supported senior commercial leadership teams.

Before that, Rob worked at Just Energy as the Director of North America Operational Accounting, handling full-cycle accounting for residential and commercial business segments. Rob also provided legal and regulatory guidance to the company.

Prior to joining Just Energy, Rob held various positions at APG&E, including Vice President of Legal, Regulatory & Human Resources, and Vice President of Business Controls. In these roles, they managed HR processes, contract management, and legal guidance on contract termination and litigation. Rob also oversaw finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, and investor relations.

Rob's earlier experience includes serving as the Chief Accounting Officer at TriEagle Energy, Manager at Enron, and Gas Accountant at Koch Gateway Pipeline Company.

Rob Brown, CPA has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Rob also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Additionally, they attained a Graduate, Contract Law Specialist Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin – Center for Professional Education (CPE) in 2018. Rob is also a Certified Public Accountant and obtained their certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 1998.
