Simon Aubury

Simon Aubury has a diverse work experience spanning over different technology companies. Simon worked as an Associate Director of Data Platforms at Simple Machines, where they were responsible for architecting and engineering high-performing, distributed, data-driven platforms and applications. Prior to this, Simon worked at Thoughtworks as a Principal Data Engineer & Service line leader, specializing in building data-driven and ML products, data platforms, and leading engineering teams. Simon also worked at IAG as a Data Engineer Architect, designing patterns that enabled the company to move to a real-time data architecture. Simon also has extensive experience working at Commonwealth Bank, Delta Electricity, British Telecommunications, Dell, and CSC in various roles related to database development, engineering, and administration.

Simon Aubury attended the Australian National University (ANU) from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of IT degree with a focus on IT and Electrical Engineering. Simon also received a certification in Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform Specialization from Coursera in 2019 and holds an Oracle Certified Professional certification.
