Alex Carreira

Alex Carreira is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in founding and leading innovative companies. As a Co-Founder at SimpleID since July 2019, Alex focuses on advancing digital identity solutions. Previously, as CTO and Co-Founder of Stealthy IM from January 2018 to June 2019, Alex worked on decentralized and encrypted P2P chat and video services for Blockstack. At inPhood, also as CTO and Co-Founder from September 2016 to December 2017, Alex developed health and nutrition services, including FDA nutrition label creation and chatbots for sugar consumption tracking and type 2 diabetes risk assessment. Alex's career began at Xilinx, where as a Staff Software Engineer from June 2004 to September 2016, contributions were made to critical software products enhancing FPGA design productivity. Alex holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
