Melissa brings 15 years of experience at the intersection of technology, policy and philanthropy, and holds a Master’s in International Education Policy from Harvard. At Simply Secure, she focuses on big-picture strategic opportunities to bring more resources and support into civil society to address some of the biggest challenges today, including putting data governance into the hands of people, centering human needs in technology design, and connecting the unconnected.

Previously, she built leadership programs at Mozilla Foundation to uplift innovative alternatives to today’s internet business models, strengthening civil society with technology strategies, and shifting the balance of power toward the public interest. She was also Co-Chair at the World Economic Forum to grow industry and government collaboration with civil society for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and is a Senior Advisor at Connect Humanity.
