Amber Newsom

Amber Newsom has worked in various roles in Human Resources and Project Management since 2008. Starting in 2008, they were a Human Resources Assistant at Premier Communities, where they assisted the Director of HR with all related processes and functions. In 2011, they moved to Group Excellence, LTD, where they were the Human Resources Administrator, responsible for all aspects of HR, including benefits, recruitment, hiring, terminations, and employee relations. In 2012, they joined Wingspan Portfolio Advisors as a Senior Learning Specialist and Senior Onboarding Specialist, where they created an Onboarding program from the ground up and collaborated on company initiatives such as Wellness and Benefits Program, Management Training, and yearly performance evaluations. In 2015, they became an Instructional Designer at Infinitude Creative Group, where they designed and developed instructional material for client training courses. Finally, in 2019, they joined The Tolson Group as an Office and Marketing Administrator, where they ran day to day operations for non-profit, served as liaison to high profile clients, updated and managed website, and organized and executed events. In 2022, they will move to SimplyConnect Consulting as a Project Manager.

Amber Newsom has earned an Associate of Arts degree in Spanish from Eastfield Community College, a BA in Spanish from Sam Houston State University, and an MA in Training and Development from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
