Greg Taylor

Greg Taylor has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Greg initially started their career at Pacific Gas & Electric Company in 1990, where they held various leadership positions before transitioning into technology management. During their time there, they developed service programs that led to consistently exceeding customer satisfaction goals.

In 1998, Taylor joined Charles Schwab as the Director of the Year 2000 Program. Greg demonstrated their expertise in enterprise project management by successfully managing the Y2K program, which involved strategy development, program management, risk assessment, system testing, and code mitigation.

Taylor then moved on to United Airlines in 1999, where they served as the Managing Director of Information Systems for the Maintenance & Manufacturing Division. In this role, they provided leadership for IT services supporting the billion-dollar manufacturing business unit. Greg implemented strategic solutions focused on supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, technical document management, and resource planning.

In 2011, Taylor joined Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Greg led technology and telecommunication operations for the Kimpton enterprise, overseeing infrastructure operations and application development for 100 hotels and restaurants throughout the United States. Their focus was on providing technical leadership, guidance, and building an environment for growth.

More recently, Taylor has been with Simpson Strong-Tie since 2015 as the Senior Vice President of IT. Greg is responsible for modernizing their manufacturing technology systems and preparing for projected growth. Greg works closely with the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, specifically on IT risk management and security.

Throughout their career, Taylor has consistently demonstrated their expertise, leadership skills, and ability to drive successful technology initiatives within various industries.

Greg Taylor has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
