Jarren S. has a diverse work experience in data analysis and programming. Jarren began their career in 2015 as a Research Assistant in Mathematics & Statistics and Research Assistant in Psychology & Neuroscience at Grinnell College. In 2016, they were a Biostatistics Research Intern at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. In 2017, they were a Data Visualization Developer Intern at Leepfrog Technologies, Inc. and a Statistics Teaching Assistant at Grinnell College. Additionally, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. In 2018, they were a Data Scientist at Grinnell College and a Trauma and Critical Care Statistical Intern at UnityPoint Health. In 2020, they were a Data Engineer at JMI Laboratories. Most recently, in 2021, they were a Data Scientist at the American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN). Currently, they are a Lead Visualization Programmer at SimulStat Incorporated.
Jarren S. completed a Bachelor of Arts in General Sciences-Biology, Statistics Concentration from Grinnell College in 2017. Jarren then obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Quantitative Methods from the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2018. Prior to this, they received an Advanced Honors High School Diploma from Advanced Technologies Academy in 2013. Additionally, Jarren S. has obtained numerous certifications from Lynda.com and Coursera, including NVivo 2018 Essential Training, Developing Data Products, Practical Machine Learning, Getting and Cleaning Data, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, R Programming, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox.
