Akhil Puri

Akhil Puri has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Akhil started their career as an Intern at Texas Instruments, where they worked on the Beagle board chip and developed a multi-threaded video decoding capability. Akhil then worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Symantec for a year.

In 2011, Akhil interned at Hindustan Unilever Ltd before joining the company as a Management Trainee the following year. Akhil later became an Area Sales Manager and handled that role for two years.

In 2015, Akhil joined Practo as a Product Manager and was later promoted to Senior Product Manager. Akhil worked there until 2017.

Following their time at Practo, Akhil founded their own company, Earth 47, where they served as the Founder and CEO. Akhil focused on tackling climate change through various initiatives such as turnkey solar rooftop projects, a solar energy marketplace, and a crowdfunding platform. Akhil's tenure at Earth 47 lasted until 2021.

In 2021, Akhil joined WhiteHat Jr as an Associate Product Director for a few months before transitioning to a role as the Director of Business and Product at clinic in Practo. Akhil held this position until 2022.

In the same year, Akhil joined On Deck as a Build for Climate Fellow and is currently working there to contribute to climate-related projects.

Most recently, Akhil joined SINAI Technologies as a Senior Product Manager starting in November 2022.

Akhil Puri completed their education with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended National Public School, Rajajinagar, Bangalore from 2003 to 2005. Akhil also pursued a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore between 2010 and 2012.
