Teck Ming Tan

Teck Ming Tan has extensive experience in emergency management and engineering, currently serving as the Deputy Commander of the Corporate Services Hub (West) at the Singapore Civil Defence Force since June 2003. Additional roles at the Singapore Civil Defence Force include Senior Officer, Para-councillor, Commander of the Special Response Unit, Chief Instructor at the National Service Training Institute, and Head of Operations for the 1st SCDF Division. Teck Ming is also an ASEAN Emergency Response Assessment Team Member at the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management and a United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination Officer since 2014. Prior to these positions, Teck Ming worked as an Electrical Engineer with M+W Group from 2000 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
