Head Of Body Engineering at Singer Vehicle Design

Chris Smart's work experience begins in 2002 with Nissan Technical Center Europe, where they started as a Graduate Engineer and eventually became an Engineer. Chris then moved on to Pinzgauer as a Design Engineer before joining McLaren Racing Ltd as an Aerodynamic Design Engineer in 2007. In 2010, they transitioned to McLaren Automotive Ltd, starting as a Project Engineer before being promoted to Senior Body Development Engineer. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Principal Body & Safety Development Engineer, leading a team responsible for vehicle body and safety testing. Chris'smost recent role was at Singer Vehicle Design, where they held the position of Head of Body Engineering starting in 2023.

Chris Smart attended the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe from 1991 to 1997. Following that, they studied at Imperial College London from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
