Lauren Ali

Lauren Ali is the current Finance Director at SingleSprout. Prior to their current position, Lauren was the Finance Manager at Happiest Baby, Inc. from July 2017 to October 2018. Before their role at Happiest Baby, Lauren was the Finance Manager at Skurt from July 2016 to July 2017.

At Skurt, Lauren handled everything from A to Z for the accounting and finance functions of the startup; they went from being a solo team member to eventually growing the team to three people. During their time at Skurt, Lauren decreased cash burn by identifying areas of needed automation and better processes. Lauren also increased revenue by evaluating products and working with the account executives and engineers to improve pricing strategy and creating processes for refunds and discounts. Furthermore, Lauren improved profit per headcount by working closely with HR to ensure the skill set of candidates hired matched the necessary needs of the company. Lastly, Lauren decreased CAC by doing analysis on paid channels and growth programs to identify the customers with the best lifetime value.

Some key responsibilities Lauren had at Skurt include preparing all monthly financials, creating and maintaining a financial model, creating Cash Flow reporting and managing cash flow, working closely with bankers for a line of credit and executing that line, preparing pitch documents for a Round raise as well as due diligence items, hiring an external audit team and managing the audit process and documentation, establishing controls throughout the company to meet audit requirements, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll

They work with Joelle Bar - Principal Account Manager, Principal Recruiter - Software Engineer, and Sophie Stewart-Bloch - Manager of Account Management. Lauren Ali reports to David Saad, Co-Founder & Co-CEO.
