Derrick Khoo

Derrick Khoo has a diverse background in the insurance industry, with experience in various leadership roles. Derrick most recently worked at Singlife as Head of Business Management, Partnership Distribution and Head of Distribution Development & Business Management. Prior to that, they served as an Independent Management Consultant at Sun Life Asia, providing insights on bancassurance and partnership modules. Derrick also spent a significant part of their career at Citi, where they held the position of Country Insurance Manager, Singapore. During their time at Citi, they achieved significant growth in market share and successfully launched non-face-to-face sales processes and a new insurance brand. Before Citi, Derrick worked at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, holding positions such as Chief Wealth Management Officer and Chief Partnerships Distribution Officer. In these roles, they played a key role in expanding the customer base and building distribution partnerships with major banks and institutions. Derrick has a track record of driving sales results, implementing strategic initiatives, and delivering business growth.

Derrick Khoo 邱建华 obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1996-1997. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Risk and Insurance Management from Nanyang Polytechnic in 1993-1996. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including those related to artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, and enterprise design thinking from institutions such as IBM and LinkedIn.
