Michael Spencer

Michael is a Non-Executive Director of Singapore Life Holdings Pte. Ltd. and Singapore Life Ltd.

He has extensive international experience in the financial services industry both through his years as the founder and CEO of Nex Group and through the numerous financial services companies he invested in over the last 35 years.

Michael is the Chairman of IPGL Limited, a shareholder of Singapore Life Holdings Pte. Ltd. He serves on the boards of several companies within the IPGL Group including DDCAP Limited, Bordeaux Index and Glasswall Solutions Limited. He was nominated for a life peerage in 2020 and is a current member of the House of Lords, British Parliament. He is also Chairman of the Centre for Policy Studies.

Michael was named the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year 2010. He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Futures & Options World in 2016.

He holds an MA in Physics from Corpus Christi, the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
