Eric Stier has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Eric is currently a Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Singular Genomics. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Legal Officer at Truvian for a brief period in 2022. From 2012 to 2021, they were the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at GenMark Diagnostics. During their time there, they played an integral role in the company's $1.8 billion acquisition by Roche and secured over $400 million in corporate financing. Before GenMark Diagnostics, Eric worked as an Associate General Counsel at Gen-Probe Incorporated from 2007 to 2012. Eric was involved in significant acquisitions and provided legal support to executive management and various departments. Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Corporate Associate at Latham & Watkins LLP, representing companies in notable acquisitions and financial transactions. Eric also gained experience at the State of Wisconsin, preparing bench memoranda for the Supreme Court and assisting the Department of Administration's Chief Legal Counsel.
Eric Stier received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science and Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998. Eric then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Law School, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 2002. Eric also holds the certification of State of California Bar No. 221482.
