Liz Specht is an accomplished food and biotechnology expert with extensive experience spanning multiple roles in prominent organizations. Currently serving as a Guest Lecturer at Singularity University, Liz's focus revolves around alternative proteins and the future of food. Previously, at The Good Food Institute, Liz held various leadership positions from Associate Director to Senior Vice President of Science & Technology, where efforts were dedicated to analyzing the plant-based product ecosystem and addressing scientific challenges in the sector. Liz also has a robust background in academic research, having completed a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at UC San Diego and a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, alongside significant teaching and research roles in multiple educational institutions.
