Azar Shamloo

Mitacs Industrial Postdoctoral Fellow at Sinoveda Canada

Azar Shamloo is a Mitacs industrial postdoctoral researcher at Sinoveda Canada since September 2022, collaborating with the University of Alberta to develop a Pharmaceutical Platform Technology® for rapid extraction of active compounds from plant bioactives. Before this role, Azar served as an Associate Researcher at Université Laval from July 2019 to December 2021, focusing on protein-surface interactions and electrolyte adsorption in nanochannels using molecular dynamics simulations. Azar's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Chemistry from Université de Sherbrooke, a PhD in Nanochemistry from the University of Tehran, and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Tehran, along with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
