Laura Schmidt

Laura Schmidt has a strong background in finance and accounting, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. Most recently, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Sioux Steel Company. Prior to that, they worked at Gates Corporation as the Operations Finance Manager and later as the Operations Finance Controller. Before that, Laura was the Business Controller at Regal Beloit Corporation and the Financial Controller at Applied Engineering, Inc. Laura also worked at Sapa as a Controller and Cost Analyst, where they managed financial reporting and verified ledger movement. Laura started their career at Shur-Co Inc as an Accounts Payable and later as an Accounting Assistant, where they handled various accounting functions and initiated contact with offsite facilities.

Laura Schmidt obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Mount Marty University, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. Later on, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Accounting at the University of Phoenix, which they completed between 2008 and 2009.
