Helene Locke has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning different roles and industries. Helene began their career as a Brand Executive at British American Tobacco in 2004 and later worked as a Brand Consultant at forward thinking inc from 2006 to 2008. Helene then joined SABMiller as a Global Brand Manager for Pilsner Urquell, where they successfully repositioned the brand. In 2010, Helene joined DIAGEO Empowerment Trust of South Africa as an Innovation Marketing Manager, where they launched Club Shandy. Helene continued their career at Diageo, holding various positions such as Innovation Marketing Manager for Africa and Senior Innovation Marketing Manager in the Futures team. Helene also worked at Endorphin Distilled Spirits as the General Manager and Founding Partner, and at Tribal Creation Limited, where they served as the Owner and Consultant. Their most recent position is as the Executive Group Head of Portfolio Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Business Innovation at Sir Fruit. Throughout their career, Helene has demonstrated a strong passion for innovation and marketing, consistently delivering successful projects and achieving awards for their work.

Helene Locke pursued their education in a chronological order. In 1996, they attended St Stithians Collegiate and obtained their Matric degree, without specifying the field of study. Helene then enrolled at Stellenbosch University from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Economics and Marketing.
