Mike Lister

Mike Lister has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Mike is currently serving as the VP, Controller at SiriusPoint Bermuda Insurance Company Ltd. since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Assistant Financial Controller at the same company from April 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining SiriusPoint, Mike worked at Third Point Re as a Senior Financial Accountant from April 2019 to April 2021. In this role, they were responsible for preparing SEC forms, analyzing financial information, and managing BSCR filings. Mike started their journey at Third Point Re as a Financial Accountant from July 2017 to April 2019.

Mike's work experience also includes a position as an Audit Senior at KPMG in Bermuda from October 2015 to June 2017. In this role, they performed financial statement audits and conducted detailed analysis on insurance and reinsurance companies.

Prior to KPMG, they worked as a Senior Audit & Accounts Analyst at Hall Morrice from July 2012 to September 2015. Here, they gained experience in auditing various sectors and managing on-site teams for statutory audits.

Mike began their career with a summer internship at Honeywell in 2011, where they worked as a General Accounting Analyst. Mike actively engaged with business units, participated in process improvement reviews, and ensured adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

Overall, Mike Lister has extensive experience in financial accounting, auditing, SEC reporting, and insurance industry regulations.

Mike Lister graduated from Glenwood High School in 2008. Mike then attended The University of Edinburgh from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies & Accounting. In 2015, Mike obtained the Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
