Kimberly Wijaya has extensive work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Kimberly began their career in 2012 as a Laboratory Intern at Sahabat Lingkungan Labs. In 2014, they worked as a Marketing Intern at R3lish, Inc. In 2015, they interned at Microsoft as a Software Engineering Intern.
In 2015, Kimberly also served as the Industry Mentorship Program Committee Chair at Women in Computer Science. Kimberly then joined Stanford University as a Section Leader from 2015 to 2016.
Kimberly returned to Microsoft in 2016 as a Software Engineering Intern and worked on projects involving REST API Cloud-based Service, web portal design, and authentication and authorization techniques.
Kimberly also interned at Stanford University School of Medicine in 2016 as a Software Engineering Intern, where they gained experience in software development in a medical setting.
Kimberly joined Facebook in 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern and continued working there until 2022. During their time at Facebook, they held various positions, including Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer.
At Facebook, they achieved outstanding performance ratings and was recognized as a vital part of the organization. Kimberly worked on projects such as developing Facebook's branded content platform, spearheading privacy-first approaches, and executing the integration of Instagram and Facebook universes.
Kimberly also played a role in driving the discovery and distribution of paid online events on Facebook, resulting in significant growth in key metrics. Additionally, Kimberly volunteered with the Fix Corps Engineering team at Facebook, contributing to bug fixing and cost savings initiatives.
In 2022, Kimberly joined Sirona Medical as a Senior Software Engineer, further advancing their expertise in the field.
Kimberly Wijaya pursued their education chronologically, beginning with their attendance at Surabaya International School from 2000 to 2013. During their time there, they achieved the distinction of being the Valedictorian for the Class of 2013. Following this, Kimberly attended Stanford University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Kimberly furthered their education at Stanford University from 2016 to 2018, earning their Master's Degree in Computer Science.
