Paul Dauenhauer is currently the Director at the Center for Programmable Energy Catalysis and Co-Founder of Carba, where they work on Direct Air Capture technology that collects carbon dioxide from the air and sequesters it. Prior to this, they were a MacArthur Fellow at the MacArthur Foundation in 2020, Co-Founder of Låkril Technologies in 2021, Co-Founder of Sironix Renewables in 2016, Chief Technical Advisor at Activated Research Company in 2015, Associate Editor at Chemical Engineering Science in 2012, Armstrong Career Development Professor at UMass Amherst in 2013, and Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota from 2009 to 2014.
Paul Dauenhauer earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. Paul then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, which they completed in 2008.
