Director, Service Operations In South America at SITA

Rackel Valadares has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Rackel is currently the Director of Service Operations in South America for SITA, where they have successfully transformed customer perception and retention through quality, efficiency, and innovation. Additionally, Rackel served as the DE&I President for the AME Region, leading efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Prior to their current role, Rackel founded and worked as an Executive Coach at RV Leadership, assisting leaders in implementing effective solutions for leadership challenges. Rackel also partnered with an international executive coaching company, providing coaching programs to professionals worldwide.

Earlier in their career, Rackel held various leadership positions at OpenText, T-Systems, Unibanco - Union of Brazilian Banks, TecBan - Tecnologia Bancária S.A., Objectview Sistemas Abertos, ESCA - Engenharia de Sistemas de Computação e Automação, and IBM Brasil. Their roles encompassed areas such as customer support, desktop services and solutions, service desk and customer care, marketing, software development, and systems analysis.

Rackel's accomplishments include creating and implementing new strategies, driving cultural change, improving efficiency, increasing revenue, and receiving industry awards for their work.

Rackel Valadares has a strong education background with a focus on Computer Science and Business Administration. Rackel completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Goiás from 1986 to 1989. Rackel then pursued a Post-graduate degree in Computer Science at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 1989 to 1994. In 2002 to 2004, Rackel obtained an MBA in Marketing and Change Management from ESPM Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing. Rackel further expanded their knowledge by earning a CORe Credential of Readiness in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Harvard Business School in 2017. Additionally, Rackel completed their Professional Coach degree in Professional Coaching Education at the International Coach Academy in 2014 to 2015. Rackel has also obtained certifications such as the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation and the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Rackel is also a Practitioner of the Leadership Circle Profile 360 from The Leadership Circle.
