Birgir Viðarsson

Birgir Viðarsson has a diverse work experience starting in 2003 with roles in surveillance at The City of Reykjavik. Birgir then moved on to Efla Consulting Engineers as an Engineer B.Sc. in 2006. In 2008, they worked in Risk Management at Landsbanki before transitioning to gogoyoko in 2009 for Business Development. Birgir then joined Norðurál as a Risk Specialist in 2009. In 2011, they began working at Sjóvá-Almennar tryggingar hf in various roles, including Risk Management, Reinsurance, Portfolio Management, Corporate Sales, and eventually becoming the Managing Director of Sales, Services, and Reinsurance in 2022.

Birgir Viðarsson received a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Háskóli Íslands in 2005, and then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Risk Management and Safety Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in 2008.
