Simoona Hion

Simoona Hion currently serves as the Legal Team Lead and Data Protection Officer at SK ID Solutions since February 2024, and is a co-founder of Legal Design Studio since December 2023. Prior to these roles, Simoona was the Data Protection Officer at TV3 Group from September 2021 to January 2024, responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations. Simoona's legal career includes positions as Legal Advisor at Telia and Ferratum Group, where contributions involved B2B, privacy law, and comprehensive legal support. Simoona's early experience includes legal roles at the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Parliament of Estonia. Simoona holds a Master of Arts in Law from the University of Tartu and has further studies in Information Technology Law from respected institutions.
